We need someone that will think strategically, drive execution, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the company at all levels. Our ideal candidate will enthusiastically work to attract, hire, train, develop, mentor, and coach our world-class team of Sales Development Representatives as they engage potential customers and generate demand for our market leading SaaS platform and related e-Commerce services.What You'll Be DoingDriving sales development initiatives with a hands-on approachHire, build, and coach a team of Sales Development Representatives across North America and partner closely with our broader Global Revenue organisationCollaborate and closely align with Marketing to ensure full campaign data and system support of marketing activities, including pre and post campaign involvement and ensure the delivery of qualified leads to our sales teamsInstill a mentality of grit, coach-ability, intelligence and curiosity related all aspects of sales development and demand generationBuild and execute lead generation strategies to yield a strong pipeline of well-qualified opportunitiesPartner with marketing to ensure all campaign activities are tracked and documented properlyLead the execution of campaigns and initiatives within the sales development organisationTrain and manage talented new hires and grow them to become top performersUnderstand and maintain current competitive information throughout the teamDevelop and share knowledge and best practices related to implementing commission plans, reviewing commission structures, and defining targets on a periodic basisProvide visibility to leadership on performance, campaigns, results, and pipeline developmentMotivate your team to overachieve and hit their goals earlyRetain key talent through hands-on leadership, coaching, and promoting Bazaarvoice valuesOpenly address performance challenges by providing clear, consistent, and constructive feedbackTrack performance and provide reporting to ensure quality and accountability on all deliverablesDefine team goals, special projects, strategic initiatives, and conduct quarterly performance reviewsEstablish span-of-control flexibility by creating Team Lead (player/coach) opportunities for developing leaders within the teamOrganise and lead team building activities to promote a fun and engaging team culture and rewarding atmosphere to keep employees motivated support positive moralCollaborate with global counterparts to leverage and share best practicesNecessary Skills And Experience5-7 years of relevant career experienceProven team leadership experienceCareer background includes sales development, inside sales, or market development experienceExpertise in business development within a SaaS or e-Commerce organizationsAdept at building strong relationships both internal and external stakeholdersWhy join Bazaarvoice?Customer is keyWe see our own success through our customers’ outcomes.We approach every situation with a customer first mindset.Transparency & Integrity Builds TrustWe believe in the power of authentic feedback because it’s in our DNA.We do the right thing when faced with hard choices.
