Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Sales Director to have have ultimate responsibility for the direction and leadership of Emerson's Measurement Solutions business in the Nordics. Directly leading and organising the Measurement Solutions (MSOL) Sales team to meet and exceed business targets including bookings and control of SG&A (Sales, General & Administration) expenditure.As a key member of the Nordic Senior Management Team, you will play an integral role in shaping the direction and strategic priorities for Emerson Nordics, contributing to the overall success and vision of the organization.In this role, your responsibilities will be: Lead, organise, manage and coach the MSOL Sales team to meet/exceed annual booking targets. Develop and maintain sales management processes as appropriate, aligned with the Measurement Solutions Value Creation Framework Drive development of strategies and initiatives to ensure long-term business growth and customer loyalty, in close collaboration with the Business Unit Form and maintain business relationships with customers that help deliver long-term growth for the business. Lead the business forecasting process for the President’s Operating Report (POR) including monitoring and reporting. Be responsible for the budget-setting process for the business including bookings, gross profit, SG&A, headcount, and capital expenditure. Lead individual budget and goal setting with each part of the MSOL Sales Team and any direct reports. Be an active member of the Nordics Leadership Team and contribute to setting & executing the growth strategy for the region, including talent strategy Work closely with key stakeholders in the Nordics region to maximise total business potential for Emerson, including X-BU Project Pursuit and Strategic Account programs Develop relationships with counterparts in Europe to assist each other on Emerson success where needed. Ensure training plans are developed and delivered across the group functional and technical knowledge. Own and define the local country delegation of authority (DOA) limits and process for pricing across the business. Nurture a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement to drive innovation and productivity gain. Represent Emerson in senior commercial negotiations with customers. Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and to escalate any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper. Proven direct sales management experience and substantial people leadership experience Strong leadership skills with a history of leading successful sales teams consistently delivering above market growth Experience and understanding of Measurement Solutions products, services, operations and the sales execution strategy (value creation framework) Proven record of building long-term relationships with external customers. Experience developing cross-functional relationships within a matrix organization. Experience leading teams in a cross-cultural, geographically spread setting. Willingness to travel as much time as the business requires. Fluency in English. Full clean driving license. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: One or more Nordic languages considered as a strong merit Degree qualification (or equivalent) in engineering, business management, or a related subject area.
