Small business insurance is $120 BILLION undersold in the US alone. Layr is digitizing and automating the small business insurance space with our client-first insurance platform. To do this, we need help from smart, gritty, outside-the-box thinkers (like you!) to keep innovating and moving forward.As a Sales Executive at Layr, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our network of Top 100 brokerage partners, Insurance Aggregators, and driving adoption of Layr’s technology platform. You’ll connect with Brokerage leaders to understand their business challenges and demonstrate how Layr helps transform small business units into scalable, profitable engines for growth. Working cross-functionally with our operations and product teams, you’ll ensure each new partner experiences measurable improvement in efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction through the successful rollout of the Layr platform.Brokerages choose to work with Layr for three key reasons: Profitability, Operational Relief, and M&A Support. We help lift margins in the small business unit by automating servicing tasks and driving policyholder self-service adoption. We deliver operational relief by reducing the workload on internal teams so staff can focus on higher-value accounts and strategic growth opportunities. And for brokerages pursuing acquisitions, Layr accelerates the integration of acquired small commercial books, making them organized, serviceable, and profitable faster than traditional approaches.By combining advanced automation with licensed support, Layr empowers brokerages to modernize their operations, deepen client relationships, and unlock capacity to scale.Responsibilities:Identify and develop partnerships with brokerages seeking to outsource or modernize their small-commercial servicing with the Layr platform.Leverage HubSpot CRM to manage and track lead interactions and pipeline progress Execute outbound prospecting campaigns using LinkedIn messaging to engage with key decision-makers Own the entire sales process of prospecting à closing à implementation support à handoff to partner success and customer support. Conduct thorough research to understand prospects’ business needs and challenges Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and schedule meetings or demos for the sales team Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and status in CRM systems Close new logos driving tens of millions of dollars in net premium growth Continuously learn and stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role in a B2B environment Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision makers within insurance brokerages. Deep understanding of Insurance Brokerage operations Effectively communicate Layr’s value proposition impacting Brokerages KPIs In-depth knowledge and proficiency in using HubSpot CRM, and LinkedIn messaging tools Strong understanding of sales methodologies and lead qualification processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive and confident approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
