A Sales Trainee position is an entry-level developmental role designed to build a strong foundation in sales, product knowledge, and customer relationship management. The trainee typically works under the guidance of experienced sales professionals and managers.About the RoleThe Sales Trainee is responsible for learning and supporting the company's sales operations. This role involves comprehensive training, shadowing experienced staff, and gradually taking on sales and administrative responsibilities to prepare for a full-time Sales Representative or Account Executive position.RESPONSABILITIES:Training & Development:Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, product training sessions, and workshops.Shadow experienced sales representatives during client calls, presentations, and meetings.Learn the company's products/services, sales processes, and customer relationship management systems (e.g., Tiger, Eagle X, OPUS…).Learn to prepare and present commercial offers and quotations to customers based on pricing and service requirements.Sales Support:Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.Conduct market research to identify potential leads and sales opportunities.Input and update customer information accurately in Opus software (Data Quality).Assist in conducting market research to identify potential new clients and business opportunities.Customer Interaction:Make cold calls or warm calls to potential clients under supervision.Respond to initial client inquiries via phone or email.Follow up with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.Assist in resolving basic customer inquiries and connecting them with the appropriate department (e.g., Customer Service, Operations, Finances) for issue resolution.Maintain and develop professional relationships with clients.Prepare and send a bi-weekly newsletter to the customers and to ONE CI.Reporting & Administration:Track and report personal sales activities and metrics.Handle general administrative tasks such as scheduling, managing calendars, and processing orders/paperwork (E-LOI process, DAR…).Prepare internal sales reports, performance summaries, and forecasts for management review.QUALIFICATIONSWe focus more on potential and attitude than extensive experience.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field).Proficiency in Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheet, Google slide).Fluent in English.REQUIRED SKILLSCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport and work effectively as part of a team.Motivation & Drive: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a strong desire to succeed in a company.Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and adapt to new sales strategies and techniques.Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and remain persistent.Organizational: Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
