The Sales Manager is a proactive and results-driven leader who motivates, inspires, and develops a high-performing sales team. This role promotes a growth mindset and ensures alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.Key Responsibilities:Strategic and Commercial ManagementDevelop and execute sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.Oversee pipeline management and sales forecasting to ensure accurate revenue projections.Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.Define market penetration strategies and customer expansion plans.Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) and CRM tools for data-driven decisions and predictive insights.Leadership and Team DevelopmentRecruit, train, and develop regional and local sales leaders and their teams.Assign territories, establish sales quotas, and ensure alignment with company objectives.Provide structured coaching, mentoring, and one-on-one sessions to enhance performance.Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement through clear KPIs and regular performance reviews.Implement succession planning and talent retention initiatives to sustain long-term success.Operational and Process ManagementPrepare and manage sales budgets while monitoring expenses and ensuring cost efficiency.Approve and oversee commission structures to ensure fairness and timely payments.Customer Relationships and RepresentationServe as a strategic business partner to key customers, offering tailored solutions to meet their needs.Resolve escalated issues and customer concerns that affect operations or satisfaction.Develop and manage customer loyalty and retention programs to strengthen long-term partnerships.Establish measurable Customer Experience (CX) metrics and track satisfaction outcomes.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience and five (5) years in a supervisory role.Strong customer-first mindset and passion for building long-term client relationships.Prior experience in Health Plans, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Pharmacy, or Pharma Wholesale is highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to use analytics and data for decision-making.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/BI tools.
