At Stripe, SaaS platforms are companies using Stripe to embed payments and make financial services a core part of their own product, meaning their partnership with Stripe is vital to the success of their business, like Shopify, Phorest and FreeNow.SaaS platforms are a global priority for Stripe, and our team identifies and develops Stripe’s future strategic accounts in Europe. We identify and partner with high-potential companies, helping them leverage Stripe’s solutions to better support their users, scale globally and create new revenue streams through monetisation of payments and financial services.What you’ll doIn this role you and your team will create partnerships between Stripe and the most innovative and fastest-growing founders of SaaS platforms in EMEA. As a Sales Manager at Stripe, you’ll play an instrumental role in fueling Stripe’s growth in this high priority segment through new customer acquisition.You'll lead and coach high-performing account executives, helping them deliver on ambitious targets, as well as roll up your sleeves to work directly with users and prospects. We are looking for an individual who is keen to work alongside a high-performing team of individuals to navigate complex sales cycles.You’ll own team performance, focusing both on delivering key sales metrics while also thinking like a CEO to drive internal and external projects to make the team, and the segment, excel. You can balance sales excellence with a builder mentality to hit and exceed targets while setting the team up for long term success.ResponsibilitiesRecruit, develop and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on SaaS PlatformsHelp leadership to define and implement the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metricsSupport your team to develop and implement full sales cycle strategies from pipe-gen to deal closing to implementation Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycleSolve complex client needs and work across product, sales, risk, and operations together with your team to improve our productMake sure that internal teams are set up for users’ success by coordinating with other Stripe teams such as Solution architects, SDRs, Marketing, Product and many moreInspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for StripeWho you areThe ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in highly ambiguous environments. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum Requirements8+ years of relevant sales experienceTrack record of overachieving against ambitious sales targetsAbility to understand complex technical ecosystems and build great relationships with technical customersExperience consistently forecasting and managing a high growth business for multiple quartersAbility to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales teamAbility to build executive relationships with customers and ecosystem partnersA knack for working well with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externallyAbility and motivation to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environmentSuperior verbal and written communication skillsPreferred RequirementsFluency in German or FrenchPrior experience in paymentsPrior experience in a sales and/or customer-facing role at a high growth technology companyInterest in business models and monetizationIn-office expectationsOffice-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.Pay and benefitsThe annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €196,700 - €295,100. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
