The Salesforce Platform Specialist will work cross-functionally to manage our Salesforce environment, assess current operations, streamline existing workflows, and identify opportunities for automation. They will develop an in-depth knowledge of our Salesforce integrations and will collaborate with internal and external resources to execute on firmwide initiatives.This role blends hand-on administration with opportunities to design, automate, and innovate and is ideal for someone ready to take their Salesforce career to the next level. The ideal candidate has strong foundational admin experience and is motivated to learn declarative and programmatic development (Apex, APIs, and integration patterns).At IEQ, Salesforce is not just a CRM but is the operating system that connects our advisors, operations, and clients. You’ll play a key role in scaling our platform, managing client assets, streamlining workflows across departments, and delivering a seamless experience for teammates.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Drive High-impact initiatives by leveraging Salesforce. Write Apex, create Flows, manage current Salesforce integrations, and contribute to new Salesforce integrations. Partner with teammates to lead the effort to migrate active process builders to flows. Collaborate with the Operations and Client Service teams to improve efficiency across all platforms. Become familiar with IEQ’s policies and processes. Create recurring reports and dashboards to track data flow and monitor processes. Document different aspects of our Salesforce environment and evaluate for efficiency and functionality. Drive optimization of the firm’s Salesforce structure through analysis of workflows and by reducing objects or records to enhance the overall Salesforce environment. Support the Platform Product Manager in executing roadmap initiatives and platform governance standards. Participate in testing, deployment coordination, and release management to ensure consistent delivery across environments. Stay current with Salesforce releases and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement. QualificationsRequiredAt least 3+ years of experience in Salesforce administration or platform management. Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201). Ability to analyze complex data sets and work with relational databases. Ability to create and deliver compelling and clear presentations using Salesforce tools. Strong project management skills and capable of meeting tight deadlines. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate among teams. Ability to think critically and anticipate issues. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good relationship-building skills both inside and outside of the organization. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-pressure environment. Curious, excited to solve big data challenges, and possess a “no task is too small” mentality. Bachelor’s degree required. PreferredSalesforce Platform App Builder certification. Salesforce Platform Developer I certification. Hands-on experience or working knowledge with OmniStudio, Apex, SOQL, or programmatic development fundamentals (not required but encouraged). Familiarity with Salesforce change and release management tools (e.g., DevOps Center, Change Sets). Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Financial Services Cloud. Experience working alongside external developers, consultants, or managed service providers. Understanding of integration patterns and comfort working with API-based connections (e.g. data warehouses, financial platforms, third party apps, etc.) Career PathThis isn’t a back-office admin role as you are embedded with the business, influencing how advisors, operations, and leadership work in their day-to-day.
