THE ROLETo support our mission, we are looking for a law student who wants to unlock their potential in a highly skilled and international company as our new Student Assistant. We are a small legal team in a fast-moving scale-up environment, so you will have the chance (and be asked) to work on a wide variety of the legal aspects of the business, from contracting to compliance, and everything in between.
Our Student Assistants are integral members of the team, so we would prefer if you would like to work with us for the next two years and can put in 15-20 hours per week. We would like you to be flexible during peak periods but will of course offer the same flexibility around your exams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKSYou will be asked to support the organisation in many different areas, but typical activities would include: Assisting with the preparation and review of standardised contracts, and maintenance of the templates.
Legal research, both in relation to Danish law and third-country and international rules and regulations. Development and implementation of compliance documentation and procedures. Identifying, launching and managing projects that can streamline processes in the legal team. Assisting in administrative, practical and ad-hoc assignments, such as company secretarial / corporate process and documentation, and handling legalisation and notarisation of corporate documents in collaboration with other stakeholders. Responsibilities may evolve depending on the candidate and their interests /skill-set.
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIESYou are currently well into a Bachelor's or beginning a Master's programme within law or commercial law in Denmark, with preferably at least two years left of your studies. You have excellent English skills (oral and written). You are proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint is an advantage. Sector-specific knowledge is not essential, but it is an advantage if you have an interest in commercial law, corporate law, intellectual property law and/or compliance matters. PERSONAL COMPETENCIESYou have good attention to detail and a structured approach to your work.
You are collaborative by nature and make sure stakeholders are consulted and informed about the work you are doing. You adapt readily to changing priorities and are keen to work in a team that turns its hands to all legal aspects of a growing business. You show initiative, take ownership, and have a sense of urgency when it comes to completing tasks. You are keen to expand your knowledge and skills into new areas.
