We are hiring Junior Quantity Surveyor for a leading Construction CompanyOverviewThe Junior Quantity Surveyor plays a crucial role in the construction industry as they are responsible for managing the costs relating to building and civil engineering projects. They work closely with the project team to ensure that the project meets its financial and contractual requirements. This position is vital in ensuring that construction projects are completed within budget and to a high quality standard.
The Junior Site Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantitiesConducting on-site visits to take measurements and assess the work doneAssisting in analyzing construction plans and specificationsAssisting in estimating and analyzing project costsAssisting in preparing project progress reportsAssisting in managing project documentationAssisting in handling financial and contractual mattersProviding support in dispute resolution and claims managementCollaborating with project team members, contractors, and suppliersAssisting in ensuring compliance with regulations and building codesParticipating in project meetings and offering insights on cost-related mattersStaying updated with industry standards and best practicesAssisting in the assessment of variations and valuationsProviding support in cost control and cost management processesAssisting in the preparation of final accountsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related fieldRelevant internship or work experience in a construction environmentStrong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulationsFamiliarity with cost estimation and measurement techniquesProficiency in utilizing relevant software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or equivalentAbility to analyze complex data and present findings effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented and able to work accurately under pressureGood organizational and time management skillsUnderstanding of contract documentation and administrationKnowledge of health and safety regulations in constructionAbility to work effectively as part of a teamStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the construction industryProfessional certification or training in Quantity Surveying is a plusWork Location:
