SAP Canada Payroll Functional ConsultantLocation:Canada (Remote/Onsite as per project need)Experience Required:12+ YearsJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced SAP Payroll Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Canadian Payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) and Payroll configuration, with a proven track record of managing full-cycle implementations, upgrades, and production support for Canadian Payroll.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end implementation and support of SAP Canada Payroll solutions. Configure and maintain SAP Payroll schemas, rules, wage types, infotypes, and time management components. Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation, tax rules, and year-end processing requirements. Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze payroll requirements, design system solutions, and ensure best practices are followed. Provide functional expertise during system testing, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Troubleshoot payroll issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver efficient solutions. Work closely with technical teams (ABAP developers) to design functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Support and enhance integration with Finance (FI/CO) and SuccessFactors (if applicable) modules. Prepare documentation, training materials, and conduct end-user training sessions. Stay current with updates in SAP Payroll and Canadian regulatory changes. Required Skills And QualificationsMinimum 12+ years of experience in SAP HCM, with at least 8+ years in Canadian Payroll. Proven experience in multiple full lifecycle SAP Payroll implementations. In-depth knowledge of Payroll configuration, Personnel Administration, and Time Management. Strong understanding of Payroll processes including off-cycle payments, retroactive accounting, and statutory compliance (CRA, CPP, EI, Income Tax, etc.). Experience in schema and PCR configuration and debugging. Familiar with SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) integration (an advantage). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and lead discussions with clients and stakeholders.
