Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for an SAP S/4 Hana FI Functional Consultant.*** Please note that this is a contract-based role. The assignment duration is 8 months. As a Romanian FI consultant, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP FI module to ensure compliance with Romanian tax laws. You will work on template rollouts, handle fit-gap analyses, and manage legal reporting requirements such as SAF-T and e-Invoicing. This role requires close collaboration with finance and tax departments to deliver compliant and efficient solutions. Key responsibilitiesEnsure full SAP S/4HANA FI rollout and legal compliance for Romanian entity under ANAF digital reporting mandates.The consultant will act as the onsite lead, interfacing with local finance stakeholders and coordinating with the SAP delivery teamDocument AS-IS and TO-BE processesPerform fit-gap analysis between business requirement and Romanian localization requirements.Configure the SAP FI module for Romanian tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, and other local tax requirements.Manage mandatory legal reporting tools, including SAF-T (Standard Audit File for Tax), e-Factura, and other specific Romanian legal reports (e.g., D394, D390, D300…).Create functional specifications for any necessary custom developments (ABAP) related to localization.Provide subject matter expertise on Romanian tax and reporting requirements within the SAP context.Should have good experience in SAP S/4 HANA FI business process & master data. Should have hands on & expertise in SAP FI related transactionsConduct system testing, develop test plans, and create user manuals.Provide training and ongoing support to Romanian SAP key users and finance teams.Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration between FI and other modules like Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD).Stay up to date with changes in Romanian tax legislation and adapt SAP configurations accordingly. Stakeholder management Emphasize client-facing skills: collaboration with Romanian CFO, accounting team, and auditors.Knowledge / ExperienceStrong ability to translate business/legal requirements into SAP technical specifications for offshore development teams.Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) as an SAP FI consultant, with hands-on experience in Romanian tax localization projects.Romanian Localization: Expert knowledge of Romanian localization requirements, including SAF-T, e-Invoicing, and other local reporting mandates. Understanding of Romanian chart of accounts (Plan de Conturi), fiscal calendar, and ANAF compliance tools.Knowledge of SAP DRC (Digital Reporting Compliance) or 3rd-party connectors.Implementation Experience: Active participation in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation or rollout project involving Romanian entities.Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Romanian and English language skills are often required.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex business and legal requirements into effective SAP solutions.Technical Skills: Experience with standard SAP configuration, as well as an understanding of the impact on ABAP developments and integration points. Degree (C.A. / M.Com / MBA – Finance)Professional & configuration experience and thorough knowledge inAccounts Payable Process – Processing of MIRO, Manual Invoice Booking, Payment Cycle, DME Configuration for Automatic Payment, Vendor Account ClearingAccounts Receivable Process – Processing of Customer Invoices, Receipts, Managing Customer Credits, Customer Account ClearingAsset Accounting – Asset Procurement, Intra-Company Transfer, Sale of Asset, CWIP Assets, Month end processingGeneral Ledger – Management reports, Month end & Year End Activities Product Costing – Capable of analysis of Std.
