Job DescriptionDepartmentCancer Institute AdminJob SummaryThe Program Support Data Analyst will be responsible for researching, interpreting, analyzing and summarizing oncology-related data through various databases, financial, market and medical information systems. Analyst will review oncology patient information and enter necessary data into database as applicable to generate and edit routine and ad-hoc reports. Participates in management of oncology services databases, while also overseeing and reporting performance against various oncology metrics and national standards. Position is full-time on site in Sarasota, FL, must be FL resident. Required Qualifications Require a bachelor's degree in Health Care or Business Administration or related field.
Require a minimum of two (2) years of experience in data analytics and/or quality; Advanced degree may qualify for lack of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Prefer previous experience in healthcare or other health-related experience. Prefer demonstrated computer experience with Windows-based operating system and applications, such as Microsoft Office, as well as experience with database systems. Prefer demonstrated working knowledge of chart abstraction, application of relevant data variables and definitions, and the ability to analyze data and design reports showing data trends. Prefer a high degree of technical/analytical ability and strategic thinking.
Prefer demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills in interactions with patients, staff and physicians. Prefer strong organizational, presentation, consultative and written and verbal skills.
