Job Title: Assistant Finance ManagerLocation: Basra - Al-Zubair RoadCompany: SAS Toyota About the Job: The overall objective of the Assistant Finance Manager’s role is to support the Accounting Manager/DGM Finance in overseeing the financial health of the organization. This includes assisting in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. The Assistant Finance Manager plays a key role in financial planning and analysis, contributing to strategic decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial data. Main duties & responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in consolidating financial reports. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e. g. , IFRS, GAAP). Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to queries. Accounts Management: Manage the daily finance operation of the location. Oversee accounts payable andreceivable functions. Review reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and ledger balances. Ensure timely invoice processing and collections. Financial Analysis: Conduct cost and profitability analysis to support business decisions. Analyze financial data and create detailed financial models. Prepare reports to assist management in strategic planning. Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.
Support the implementation of internal controls. Assist with tax compliance (IUAS TAX). Payroll and Expense Management: Support payroll processing and related reconciliations. Oversee employee expense reporting and reimbursement systems. Support for DGM Finance: Provide analytical and administrative support to the DGM Finance. Represent the finance team in internal meetings when required. Take part in finance system upgrades or implementations. Team Supervision: Guide junior staff or finance assistants. Review work for accuracy and compliance. Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA, ACCA, CMA is a plus). 4–6 years of finance/accounting experience, incl. reporting & analysis.
Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP & tax compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in supervising or guiding junior staff. High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
