You will partner with programme leaders and cross-functional teams to turn complex datasets into clear insights that inform decision-making, drive performance improvement, and secure measurable outcomes. You will contribute to planning, governance, risk management, and execution across large-scale programmes and help develop the tools, techniques, and diagnostic methodologies we use to deliver cost and productivity improvement.Responsibilities:As a Senior Associate Data Analyst within our Cost and Productivity team, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the design and delivery of technology-enabled transformation programmes for large public sector clients Develop and own programme- and workstream-level dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting packs; ensure outputs are insight-led, timely, and accurate Collect, clean, validate, wrangle, and interrogate data from multiple sources; maintain robust data lineage, assumptions, and definitions Translate complex analyses into concise, visual, client-ready outputs that clearly communicate progress, risks, and recommendations Lead descriptive and trend analyses to identify performance drivers, inefficiencies, opportunities, and risks across cost, productivity, benefits, and delivery milestones Apply and help refine diagnostic methodologies to quantify opportunities and underpin compelling business cases Support a safe delivery environment through accurate, on-time reporting, including risk/issue logs, milestone tracking, and benefits realisation updates Work with programme managers, business analysts, and technical teams to define data needs, improve data quality, and embed measurement into delivery plans Define baselines, measurement approaches, and tracking mechanisms that support implementation planning Contribute to the design of automation and performance optimisation measurement frameworks Maintain structured documentation and filing, ensuring transparency and auditability of analysis Help to grow our multi-specialism Cost & Productivity team by developing tools, templates, and repeatable analytics approaches Develop your own business, technical, and global acumen—learn new skills and stay current with emerging trends Be innovative, take calculated risks, and push yourself to find practical, output-focused solutions Requirements:At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis/analytics, programme or project environment, or consulting role. Familiarity with agile delivery approaches and programme environments, as well as relevant certifications are advantageousStrong background in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support programme and organisational decision-making Track record of creating high-quality visual outputs (e.g. PowerBI dashboards, reports, presentations) that communicate analysis, status, performance, and recommendations Experience supporting reporting cycles, including KPI definition, tracking, performance monitoring, and benefits realisation Experience maintaining structured documentation and knowledge repositories (e.g., data dictionaries, source registers, analysis logs) Understanding of risk and issue management and how data supports effective governance Significant hands-on experience with large datasets (e.g., tens of millions of rows), including data quality assessment, cleansing, wrangling, and interrogation Strong practical experience with Power Query and Power BI for data preparation and visualisation; comfortable shaping large models and optimising refresh/performance Advantageous: Exposure to ETL processes and SQL or database management Advantageous: Understanding of budget tracking, resource planning, or cost analysis Experience collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams and subject matter experts Desirable skill sets include:Ability to articulate the business benefits of data-driven transformation and the case for change Strong data quality mindset and attention to detail; practical and output-focused approach Compelling visual storytelling skills; ability to present insights in business-friendly language (Power BI) Planning and coordination capabilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfort working with large-scale data, including advanced Power Query transformationsExperience supporting delivery of transformation programmes Experience working collaboratively with external teams and subject matter experts to benefit project work and recommendations Experience working within large, complex programmes Experience working with agile and scaled agile delivery approachesAgencies please note: This recruitment assignment is being managed directly by PwC’s Talent Acquisition team.
