ResponsibilitiesJob Title:SCADA Engineer Work location:Power plant control center / Wind farm / Photovoltaic power plant / Energy storage power plantdepartment:Automation Control Department / Dispatch and Monitoring Department / Technical Operations and Maintenance DepartmentReporting to:Control System Supervisor / Technical Manager / Power Plant Operation and Maintenance ManagerPosition Summary:SCADA engineers are responsible for the design, development, debugging, operation, maintenance, and optimization of the monitoring and data acquisition platform (SCADA system) for power plants and energy storage systems.This position ensures accurate data acquisition, stable control system response, and supports operation scheduling and remote monitoring, making it a crucial role in the automation and digital management of power plants.Key Responsibilities:SCADA System Development and DebuggingParticipate in the design and development of SCADA systems, including screen configuration, alarm logic, and database configuration.Configure and debug the PLC/RTU communication interface to ensure complete and accurate data acquisition.Write and maintain SCADA programs, scripts, and control logic documentation.System operation and monitoringMonitor the SCADA system's operating status in real time to ensure the stability and reliability of the data acquisition and alarm systems.Handle system malfunction alarms and promptly communicate with the on-site operation/maintenance team to resolve issues.Regularly check the system hardware and communication links to ensure the SCADA system's online rate and response speed.Data Analysis and OptimizationAnalyze operational data to provide support for optimizing power plant power generation efficiency and energy storage charging and discharging.Provide system performance optimization solutions to improve data reliability and monitoring efficiency.Assist the operations and maintenance team in energy management, forecasting and analysis, and report preparation.Technical support and upgradesSupports SCADA system access and commissioning for new power plant construction, expansion, or equipment upgrade projects.Assist suppliers in completing system upgrades, patch installations, and feature expansions.Work with the IT team to manage SCADA system network security and remote access permissions.Document Management and TrainingCompile SCADA system technical documents, operation manuals, and troubleshooting guides.Train operation and maintenance personnel and dispatchers to master the operation and monitoring methods of the SCADA system.Save and archive historical operation data and alarm records to provide a basis for analysis.Coordination and CommunicationWe work closely with PLC, EMS, BMS and other system engineers to ensure that data and control commands are linked correctly.Collaborate with the operations and maintenance team to analyze problems and optimize systems to ensure the stable operation of the power plant.Job Qualifications:Educational requirementsBachelor's degree or above in Automation, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or related fields.Work experienceMore than 2 years of experience in SCADA system design, debugging or operation and maintenance.Priority will be given to candidates with experience in new energy power plants (photovoltaic, wind power, energy storage) or large-scale industrial control systems.
