Science Lab OpsContract Period: 10 January 2026 to 9 January 2027Working HoursPersonnel Will Be Deployed At The Following HoursMonday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., inclusive of 30-minute lunch breakFriday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., inclusive of 30-minute lunch breakSchool Holidays: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., inclusive of 30-minute lunch breakSaturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted Public Holidays: Service not required. If required to work on Saturdays, staff can claim time off.Scope of ServicesThe Science Lab Ops shall be competent to perform the following duties: Prepare chemicals, specimens, and apparatus for laboratory lessons, ensuring MOE safety guidelines and standards are strictly adhered to. Assist Science teachers during laboratory lessons by distributing chemicals, specimens, and apparatus. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cleanliness of the Science laboratories. Ensure laboratory equipment and apparatus are in good working condition and well-maintained. Perform inventory checks on laboratory resources and maintain adequate stock levels. Assist in organizing Science events and field trips for pupils. Perform any other duties as assigned by the school to support the Science curriculum.Qualifications And SkillsThe Science Laboratory Technician shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience: Educational Qualification: At least GCE “O” Level certification. Experience: Preferably female, with at least 1 year of working experience as a Science Laboratory Technician in a local primary school. Personal Skills: Good interpersonal, communication, and planning skills. Technical Skills: Basic ICT skills and knowledge of chemicals. Ability to multitask, work independently and as part of a team. Show initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to handle primary school pupils effectively.
