Job DescriptionJob Overview: Science Teacher (Secondary)Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Science Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality science instruction to secondary school students, inspiring a love for learning and scientific inquiry. This role requires a strong foundation in science education, excellent classroom management, and a commitment to student development.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons for secondary-level students in alignment with the school curriculum.Teach one or more science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at the secondary level.Foster students’ analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through interactive and practical learning experiences.Incorporate various teaching methods, including laboratory experiments, digital tools, and project-based learning.Monitor and assess student progress through tests, assignments, lab reports, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback.Promote independent learning and active participation in the classroom.Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.Communicate regularly with parents or guardians on students' academic performance and well-being.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum development.Support and participate in extracurricular science-related activities such as science fairs, STEM clubs, and academic competitions.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline.Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).At least 2 years of experience teaching science at the secondary school level.Strong knowledge of subject matter and effective classroom management skills.Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is preferred but not essential.Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and learning.Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in education.Passion for STEM education and the ability to motivate students.BenefitsCompetitive salary package based on qualifications and experience.Access to continuous professional development and training.Supportive, inclusive, and multicultural work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within a growing educational institution.About UCSI International School Sdn BhdThe UCSI Schools Group has 3 campuses in Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Campus, Subang Jaya Campus and Springhill Campus.
