In this role, you will perform structural analysis of proteins in complex with small molecule ligands, antigens and/or nucleic acids using X-ray crystallography or cryo-EM. Your work will include recombinant protein production, purification, crystallization, and structure determination. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a strong background in protein biochemistry and structural biology who are eager to apply their expertise in a collaborative and innovative environment.Join us at Selvita, where these values guide our mission to advance drug discovery to the clinical stage of drug development.Key Responsibilities:Recombinant protein expression and purification for structural studies.Performing crystallization experiments, including screening, optimization and crystal harvesting for diffraction measurements.Structural analysis of protein–ligand, antibody-antigen or protein–nucleic acid complexes using X-ray crystallography or cryo-EM.Development, implementation, and optimization of gene-to-structure pipelines for divergent protein targets.Your Background:Degree (MSc or PhD) in biological or chemical sciences.Fluent in English and willing to work in highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.Hands-on experience in recombinant protein production using E. coli and/or eukaryotic expression systems.Proven expertise in purification of high-quality proteins for structural studies.Strong background in assessing protein quality.Practical experience in crystallization of macromolecular complexes.Extensive expertise in structural analysis of protein-ligand complexes.Proficiency in solving and analyzing protein structures by X-ray crystallography, including use of CCP4 and XDS software packages.Experience with structural analysis of membrane proteins and/or cryo-EM analysis will be a plus.Your Benefits Package:Working in world-class extensive research facilities and modern laboratories.Daily cooperation and know-how exchange with scientific experts.Additional benefits: a prepaid lunch card, private medical care, subsidized sports card, and office fruit provision.Internal Development initiatives including soft & leadership skills training programs.Recognition Program.Employee Referral Program.Support & incentive bonus for completing Ph.D.Support in legalization process and relocation package.Various sports and engagement initiatives.
