Run what runs the world.This Position reports to:Procurement ManagerYour Role And ResponsibilitiesWe are now looking for a new Procurement Specialist/ SCM Specialist to join our Home Solutions Nordics procurement team. In this role, you will contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of purchasing and logistics activities within the Procurement function, directly supporting ABB Home Solutions business in the Nordics. You will execute assigned activities according to ABB standard procedures and play a key role in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and sustainability initiatives. You will also deliver and participate in training programs to ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and procedures and foster professional development.This role is contributing to the Home Solutions Business in the Nordics.Candidate can be based in Porvoo, Finland, or Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic.The work model for the role is: hybrid ( hybrid)You will be mainly accountable for:Manage the local metal parts category, develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliability.Manage agreements and negotiations with selected local indirect suppliers, ensuring compliance with ABB standards and supporting business continuity.Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including the qualification of new suppliers, and resolve performance issues.Monitor material market trends and costs, negotiate competitive prices and contracts, and actively identify and drive cost reduction initiatives, benchmarks, and analyses based on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and ensuring a diversified supplier base.Monitor procurement KPIs, analyze performance, and propose corrective actions for continuous improvement.Support new product development projects with optimal supplier selection and cost analysis and contribute to forecasting and planning with insights on purchasing trends.Ensure material availability and continuity of factory operations while promoting sustainability and compliance with HSE, legal, and trade requirements.Support procurement digitalization by leveraging modern tools, data analytics, and AI to enhance efficiency and decision-making.Qualifications For The RoleMinimum 3 years of solid experience in procurement and supplier management, ensuring a competitive, high-quality, and reliable supply base. Hands-on experience in procurement and materials management, proven ability to identify cost drivers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance. Experience in the electrical or metal industry is a plus.Strong sourcing expertise. Indirect procurement experience is an advantage.Fluent in English, Finnish language skills are an assetBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.Strong knowledge of procurement standards and processes, along with a solid understanding of commercial and legal terms and sustainability practices. Excellent negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passion for continuous improvement and driving innovation in procurement processes and supply chain processes, and ability to collaborate across functions and units.SAP experience preferred, experience with data analytics or AI in procurement is a plus.Interested in joining the crew?
