Your local expertise will be essential for Clear Solutions' expansion plans.Strong performers often continue working with partner organizations beyond the initial fellowship, depending on project needs and mutual interest.About Clear SolutionsClear Solutions reduces the tragically-high number of children dying from diarrhoea (>400,000 under-5 year olds globally per year), working partners to improve usage of highly cost-effective treatments. We recently celebrated reaching 95,000 children aged under-5 (the most vulnerable age group). Oral Rehydration Solution and Zinc (ORSZ) could prevent >90% of deaths if all diarrhoea cases were treated. Tragically, in some regions - mostly in sub-Saharan Africa - a large proportion of children suffering diarrhoea do not receive these WHO-recommended treatments and are far more likely to die as a result. We provide free ORSZ and guidance on its benefits and usage to caregivers of young children via community health workers, clinic staff and at other interactions with the health system. To maximise scale and cost-effectiveness, we partner with NGOs to ‘layer’ ORSZ provision onto other health campaigns [example], and with Government and private sector healthcare providers to leverage their distribution networks.Read more about Clear Solutions on our blog here.About the RoleClear Solutions is exploring Cameroon, Niger and Somalia as potential locations for piloting ORS-Z distribution. This scoping project will help us understand whether and how we could effectively operate in these countries. You will map the health system landscape, identify potential implementation partners, and clarify the regulatory and logistical requirements for launching a pilot program.
