Job Description
We are seeking a proactive SCRUM Master to coordinate a SCRUM team in Brussels. You’ll facilitate agile ceremonies, help the team remove impediments, and ensure successful delivery of sprints and releases while maintaining quality, traceability, and compliance.What you’ll doSprint delivery ownership: Ensure sprint commitments are delivered – own delivery at sprint/release level, making sure the team meets scope, quality, and timing.Agile ceremonies: Facilitate stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with a strong emphasis on outcomes and delivery risks.Escalation point: Act as SCRUM team point of escalation – identify, manage, and escalate blockers or risks that could jeopardize delivery, coordinating with the Tech Lead.Progress monitoring: Monitor and report delivery progress – maintain transparent tracking (e.g., Jira dashboards, burn-downs, delivery KPIs) and share concise updates with Tech Lead.Agile discipline: Enforce Agile discipline according to defined standards – ensure backlog hygiene, Definition of Done, test coverage, and quality gates are respected.Documentation & TraceabilityDocumentation production: Produce and maintain technical/functional documentation – capture specifications, architecture notes, and system behavior in clear, structured deliverables.Full traceability: Ensure full traceability – link requirements, stories, defects, tests, and releases in Jira/ALM tools to guarantee auditability and compliance.Documentation coordination: Coordinate documentation contributions – consolidate inputs from developers, testers, and architects into consistent documents.Review cycles: Lead document review & approval cycles – organize review sessions, collect feedback, manage versions, and secure sign-offs.Governance, Quality & Continuous ImprovementRelease readiness: Support release readiness & handover to testing/DevOps teams – verify that test evidence, defect logs, and deliverables are complete before releases.Knowledge repositories: Maintain knowledge repositories – keep Confluence/SharePoint structured, updated, and easily navigable for the team and stakeholders.Lessons learned: Capture lessons learned & improvements – document sprint/release learnings and integrate them into future delivery practices.Team coaching: Coach the team on delivery excellence – promote accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement mindsets within the team.Compliance: Guarantee compliance with defined standards – ensure all documentation, processes, and deliveries meet internal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.Location and startLocation: Brussels, Belgium (hybrid available)Start date: NovemberIf you’re passionate about enabling high-performing teams to deliver quality software on time, we’d love to hear from you.
