Primary Job Title:Scrum MasterAlternate/Related Job Titles:Agile Delivery LeadAgile Project ManagerIteration ManagerLocation:Toronto, ONOnsite Flexibility:Hybrid — 4 days in office weekly (starting November 3rd); current anchor day: Thursday (subject to change)Contract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 24 monthsStart: As Soon As PossiblePay Rate: C$60 - C$75/hrSchedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours (37.5 hours/week; 7.5 hours/day)Overtime: Possible, based on project needsJob Summary:The Scrum Master will lead agile delivery and digital transformation initiatives supporting document digitization within a highly collaborative financial services environment. Acting as a servant leader and change agent, this role will champion agile practices, remove impediments, and ensure delivery teams achieve high productivity and quality outcomes while maintaining strong alignment with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Customer FocusFacilitate end-to-end agile processes for one or more pods or delivery teams.Drive continuous improvement and change adoption to maximize delivery performance.Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery.Maintain full visibility of all team work through Product Backlog tracking and prioritization.Champion agile ceremonies, ensuring full team participation and engagement.Enforce Work-In-Progress limits to optimize throughput and predictability.Foster collaboration, team morale, and a strong sense of accountability.Ensure team compliance with governance, documentation, and risk controls.Stakeholder & Governance AlignmentApply enterprise frameworks and agile methodologies in day-to-day execution.Coordinate across Product Owners, Tech Leads, and stakeholders to manage dependencies and risk.Oversee project scope, timing, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.Maintain adherence to enterprise governance and reporting expectations.Escalate non-standard or high-risk activities as necessary.Team Development & LeadershipMentor and coach agile team members on Scrum and SAFe principles.Promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and inclusion.Lead team retrospectives and continuous improvement activities.Act as a brand ambassador for the organization internally and externally.Breadth & DepthSupport 1-2 agile teams of moderate complexity.Demonstrate deep knowledge of Scrum and scaling frameworks.Drive agile maturity within teams and contribute to enterprise agile initiatives.Collaborate with journey/platform owners and practice leads to ensure consistent delivery outcomes.Required Experience:2-4 years (or more) as a Scrum Master in an agile environment.Experience using Jira and Confluence.Post-secondary education required; Scaled Agile Scrum Master certification preferred.Nice-to-Have Experience:Previous experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.Familiarity with enterprise-scaled agile projects.Strong change management and stakeholder engagement experience.Required Skills:Proficiency in MS Office Suite and agile collaboration tools.Strong facilitation and communication skills.Proven stakeholder management and team leadership.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of Scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks.Analytical and process improvement mindset.Ability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams.Additional Skills:Collaboration and adaptability.Attention to documentation and process detail.Ability to manage agile governance and risk compliance.About the Client:Top 10 bank in Canada and North America offering comprehensive financial solutions including retail, commercial, wealth management, and wholesale banking services.
