We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.What You'll DoStrategyAssist the Immigration Manager in providing operational support for talent movement within and into SEA.Assist in the day-to-day progress and monitor application progress of business visas, work permits, and any other immigration-related processes. Keep updated on changes to legal and/or enforcement environments and advise leadership on immigration trends and issues that affect BCG SEA, coupled with concrete plans for a path forward.Policy and ComplianceEnsure BCG SEA stays compliant with immigration laws and advise on business practices to adhere to changes in laws when applicable through constant education, advice, reviews, etc.Act as an expert/advisor and point of contact on immigration matters in countries that BCG SEA operates in and where BCG SEA does not have a physical presence.Work Permit and Visa SupportReview and assess potential candidates to identify employees who need to obtain work authorization for casework or other reasons.Advise on immigration issues triggered by new hires, transfers, secondments, extended employment, and terminations.Liaise with 3rd-party agencies for the application of permits.Work closely with Staffing and Mobility Tax to review permits periodically and ensure compliance and optimization on quotas and taxes.Liaise with Employment Legal to manage risks associated with and triggered by immigration and cross-border movement of staff.Troubleshoot immigration emergencies with relevant parties (e.g., denial of entry at the airport, denial of visa at consulate, etc.).YOU’RE GOOD ATUnderstanding complex local regulations around immigration and/or relying on expert networks for guidance when necessary.Keeping track of complex movements and changes driven by constant talent movement.Problem-solving and communication in order to get the right outcomes/decisions at the right time.What You'll BringCollege or bachelor’s degree in business, law, human resources, or related fields.Ideally three or more years of work experience gained in a professional services firm or similar fields such as mobility or immigration.Excellent written and spoken communication skills.Team player yet able to work independently, with a demonstrated ability to be flexible, responsive, and take initiative.Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with all levels of staff.Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities, display attention to detail, and be tenacious with follow-ups.Strong customer service orientation.Able to multitask in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.Consistently handles situations with tact and patience, and works well under pressure. Conveys a strong, positive, and professional disposition with excellent standards of professional behavior and ethics.Computer literate, with good Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook skills.
