Today, the company is focusing on carbon reductions, not offsets, as it works toward achieving its verified science-based targets by 2030 and its goal to become a carbon negative enterprise by 2040.Facility: Kyle 1 - Lagrange, GAPosition summaryEnsure a continuous flow of carpet through line by setting up carpet to be backed and sewing ends of rolls together.Educational requirementsHigh school diploma or GEDSkills And ExperiencePrevious manufacturing experience preferredGood communication skills, verbal and writtenMeet license requirements for powered material handling equipmentFork lift experience preferredEssential dutiesPull rolls of carpet from warehouse as per production schedule and stage at sew-on area.Verify that all roll tickets and run numbers match the production schedule and match rollsNotify Line Specialist or Supervisor when rolls cannot be locatedHelp material handler unload production trailers if neededSew rolls of carpet together using sewing machine. Rolls should be run in numerical order by run numberDevelop a working mechanical knowledge of sewing machine and make minor repairs and adjustmentsMonitor carpet as it enters J pan to look for potential quality problemsEnter notes in AS/400 when quality problems occurRecord length and width on roll logMaintain good housekeepingComply with safety rulesComply with environmental regulationsBe aware of departmental material safety data sheets (MSDS)Ensure ISO procedures are followed.Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.Perform other duties as assignedPhysical demandsStanding for 8-10 hour shiftsLift up to 40 pounds repeatedlyWork environmentNon-climate controlled factory environmentLI-AS1LI-OnsiteWe are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
