Second Foundation is a global energy trading company with around 400 employees across locations in Prague HQ (CZ), Zug (CH), Mainz (DE), Berlin (DE), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (JP). We specialize in integrating and optimizing the marketing of renewable energy and battery storage systems in power markets, and have been actively expanding our own asset base, with a primary focus on battery storage. We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our Prague office. The role offers broad exposure to the investment process —analyzing investments opportunities, assessing how to structure investments, and evaluating financing options (both equity and debt).
What would you work on?Analyze available battery-storage deals, build financial models, and calculate their business cases, returns, and profitability Structure deals, assess financing options, and support negotiations with banks and partners Represent Second Foundation in discussions with banks and co-investors.
Prepare investment cases, presentations, and decision-ready materials for senior stakeholders inside the company, and for the partners (banks, co-investors) Monitor portfolio performance and provide insights to support optimization and value creation, with a strong focus on corporate finance Set-up reporting processes on deal performance for internal stakeholders and partners Support due diligence and transaction execution in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors. What makes you a great candidate?Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a STEM discipline. Strong analytical, data-handling, and visualisation skills; Python a plus. Advanced financial-modelling skills with full Microsoft Office proficiency.
Energy-sector experience preferred, or strong motivation to build expertise. Detail-oriented, diligent, and able to deliver clear, actionable insights.
