Job Description
Job PurposePlan, lead and manage the overall financial activities for Petrochemical such as maintenance of accounts, execution of month-end activities and consolidation activities, preparation of statutory audited financial statements, effective implementation of accounting standard and regulatory requirements as well as fixed assets management in accordance with the applicable accounting standards, submission of income tax estimates and returns.Key Accountabilities1.Financial Accounting and ReportingPlan and manage the production of financial statements and management reporting for Petrochemical through efficient and accurate maintenance of accounting records and execution of month-end activities, proactive identification and mitigation of potential audit issues, effective facilitation of external audit procedures, develop and present adequate analysis on financial performance and highlighting areas of concern requiring attention or action to the management, Board of Audit Committee (“BAC”) and Board of Directors (“BOD”) to ensure the reliability of financial numbers and financial statements as well as to meet the filing and submission requirement of relevant statutory bodies and stakeholders.2.Corporate Income Tax Filing and CompliancePlan and manage the overall management of companies’ tax compliance for Petrochemical such as preparation and submission of monthly tax provision for monthly reporting, accurate tax estimate and tax returns through comprehensive tax computation and detail analysis on the expenses and income incurred or received by the respective companies and ensuring that payments for tax are discharged accurately and timely to ensure conformance to tax laws and legislation.3.Provision of Financial Information and AdvisoryManage and provide support on accounting and financial matters (i.e. accounting policies, procedures and guidelines) to business stakeholders on Petrochemical through timely and accurate identification of issues and recommendations to address any operational matters in line with the requirement prescribed by policies and procedures, MFRSs and/or relevant law.4.Fixed Asset ManagementPlan and manage Fixed Assets Management activities through periodic physical assets verification, proper valuation and recording of assets, impairment assessment and management of disposal and write off, in compliance with the established accounting policies and procedures, governance and applicable accounting standards in order to ensure that all fixed assets are properly managed, valued and recorded.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in AccountingMinimum 10 years relevant working experience, experience in plant operations is preferredAccounting certifications (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA, or CFA) are an added advantage.Work ConditionPhysical Demand — Primarily office-based for data analysis, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
