Security Analyst

About the Client:A major Australian telecommunications provider focused on delivering secure, scalable infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role sits within the Cybersecurity team and supports continuous vulnerability risk reduction across critical systems.About the Role:We are seeking a Rapid7 InsightVM Operations & Delivery Specialist to manage day-to-day vulnerability scanning, reporting, and remediation coordination. You’ll play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and delivering actionable insights to technical teams and leadership.Key Responsibilities:Administer and maintain Rapid7 InsightVM components and configurations.Execute scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across diverse environments.Validate scan results, eliminate false positives, and assign remediation actions.Track remediation progress and ensure SLA compliance.Develop and distribute vulnerability reports and dashboards.Collaborate with patch management, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.Present vulnerability insights and trends to management and governance forums.Required Experience:Hands-on experience with Rapid7 InsightVM / Nexpose in enterprise environments.Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment, CVSS scoring, and remediation workflows.Knowledge of Windows, Linux, network devices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, BigFix, Tanium).Ability to interpret vulnerability data and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications: Rapid7 VM Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+, CEH, CYSA+, CISSP.Scripting experience (PowerShell or Python).Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, CIS Controls).What’s on Offer?6-month contract$460/dayMelbourne locationWork within a high-performing cybersecurity team at a leading telco providerHow to Apply:To express interest, please upload your resume.
