Job DescriptionSecurity Guard must closely monitor access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises. This includes examining employee badges, checking identification, and verifying the legitimacy of incoming vehicles.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe overall duty of a Security Guard is to protect a company’s property, employees, and visitors. Here are some of their typical daily responsibilities that you can include in a job description:Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secureEvicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take overControlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocolsMonitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activitiesProviding detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to managementTesting security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectorsUsing provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise mannerPerforming CPR or first aid when neededRequired Skills & AbilitiesExcellent knowledge of security protocolsAbility to operate security systems and emergency equipmentExceptional interpersonal skillsAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work alone or as part of a teamAbility to solve problems as they ariseAttention to detailAbility to react appropriately in stressful situationsOhio guard cardAll applicants must pass a FBI fingerprint search and a BCI federal background search.Your specific duties and tasks may differ from what is stated in this job description. As an employee, you will be required to perform all business duties asked. We are team players. We wear many hats to accomplish a common goal.Must be 21+ years of agePhysically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
