Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You’ll Be DoingDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security policies and proceduresEnsuring that security policies are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirementsConducting regular reviews and updates of security policies to address emerging threats and vulnerabilitiesCollaborating with department managers to determine security needs and implement appropriate measuresOverseeing the management and maintenance of security devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control systemsEnsuring that security devices are configured correctly and updated regularlyMonitoring the performance and effectiveness of security devices and make necessary adjustmentsMonitoring security systems and networks for potential threats and vulnerabilitiesImplementing and managing security monitoring tools and technologiesLeading the response to security incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reportingConducting root cause analysis and implement measures to prevent future incidentsConducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threatsDeveloping and implementing mitigation strategies to address identified risksEnsuring compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policiesDeveloping and delivering training programs to ensure staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining securityPromoting a culture of security awareness within the organizationMaintaining detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reportsProviding regular updates to senior management on the status of security efforts and incidents What You'll Bring AlongBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of security technologies and best practicesExperience with security monitoring tools and incident responseKnowledge of security devices management, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control systemsExperience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategiesKnowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologiesUnderstanding of relevant regulations and industry standards related to securityExperience with security audits and compliance assessmentsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholdersCertifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similarExperience: Over 5 years of experience in security management, with a focus on security policies, devices management, and incident responseIdeally, IT Infrastructure and ITIL know-howExcellent command of both spoken and written English
