Security Method Manager - Long Term

Job Description

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE The Method Security Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Endeavour Mining’s Group Security Management System (SMS). This role ensures the standardization of security practices across all sites, with a strong focus on gold room security protocols, crisis management, business continuity, and compliance auditing. The position plays a key role in embedding a culture of operational excellence, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance within the security function.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Security Management System (SMS): • Design and implement the Group Security Management System, including the development of the security charter, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. • Ensure alignment of the SMS with international standards and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR). • Regularly review and update the SMS to reflect evolving threats, technologies, and operational needs.Gold Room Security Standards: • Develop, standardize, and enforce gold room security protocols and best practices across all Endeavour Mining sites. • Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure consistent implementation and compliance with gold room standards. • Provide technical support and guidance to site security teams on gold room operations. • Provide all necessary training to ensure understanding, quality and sustainable implementation. Crisis Management & Business Continuity: • Develop and maintain the Corporate Crisis Management System, including clear roles, responsibilities, and escalation procedures. • Design and implement Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for critical operations across the group. • Lead regular crisis simulation exercises and after-action reviews to enhance preparedness and resilience. Security Auditing & Compliance: • Plan, coordinate, and conduct regular internal audits of security policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all sites. • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for security compliance and operational effectiveness. • Produce quarterly and annual audit reports with actionable recommendations for improvement. • Ensure corrective actions are tracked and implemented in a timely manner. Documentation & Knowledge Management: • Maintain a centralized and accessible repository of all security documentation. • Ensure all policies and procedures are clearly communicated and understood across the organization. • Support training initiatives by aligning documentation with learning objectives and operational needs in coordination with the expert & training managerSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Education: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in security management, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security systems development, auditing, and compliance, preferably in the mining, extractive activities or industries. • Strong knowledge of Management System, crisis management, and business continuity planning. • Familiarity with international standards such as ISO 31000 (Risk Management), ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), and VPSHR. • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required. • Systems thinking and process design • Risk management and compliance auditing • Analytical and performance monitoring skills • Project management and implementation • Strong communication and documentation abilities • High attention to detail and quality assurance • Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams TYPE OF CONTRACT: LONG TERM
