Thrilling roller coasters, action-packed Hershey Bears hockey games, thrilling live entertainment, and one-of-a-kind events are a day in the life of our team members. 3rd Shift Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety & security of all guests, team members, and property of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex during the hours of 11 pm to 7 am.As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food & shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID!Job Functions:Provide exemplary service to guests and team membersReport and react to hazardous conditions and emergency situationsReceive telephone and radio calls (utilizing two-way radios), dispatch appropriate personnel, and log calls using an electronic Incident Management SystemMonitor all vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the Complex to ensure all are authorizedMonitor alarm systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems Conduct physical security patrols of assigned areas and complete assigned safety inspections and security assessmentsConsistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applyingPost-employment: Must obtain RAMP CertificationMust possess a valid driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guestsMust be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all timesMust be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skillsMust have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radiosMust be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirementsMust have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all timesMust display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelinesAbility to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountabilityJob Demands:Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays - Team members must work a minimum of eight (8) hours every two pay periods in order to stay an active employee - Shift times are between the hours of 11 pm and 7 amEmployees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
