This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity where you can make a real difference.As a Security Officer, you will provide essential security services across our sites, ensuring the safety and protection of staff, patients, visitors, premises, and property at Perth Children’s Hospital. As a key member of the emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding promptly to duress alarms, fire alarms, and other emergency situations.You will take direction from the clinical team in responding to incidents of violence and aggression and seek to manage conflicts before they escalate. Dedicated to protecting staff, patients, and visitors from violence and aggression, they work closely with clinical teams, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on delivering exceptional care to children and young people.The team undergoes comprehensive site-specific and internal training, including clinical de-escalation and security-specific techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle a wide range of situations effectively.Their responsibilities include responding to emergency codes, duress alarms, and other urgent situations throughout the hospital and its premises. They also manage security systems, oversee access control, and conduct regular patrols.
