Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated, collaborative, forward-thinking talent with a passion for networking internally and driving partnerships with suppliers.The position will report to the Semiconductor Global Category Senior Manager. As part of an international team of Regional Category Managers (RCMs), you will be responsible for shaping and executing the market strategy for semiconductors. Responsibilities : Regional Representation and Market Analysis.ü Perform needs analysis for Schneider Electric’s entities and Lines of Business (LOB) in China. Segment commodity needs and share insights with the Global Category Manager (GCM) and Strategic Supplier Leader (SSL).ü Conduct geographic zone market analysis, gather intelligence, and identify market trends that could impact pricing and supply.ü Contribute to the development and deployment of global tools such as cost models, scoring models, and price indexes.Coordinate & Collaborate - Deploy Semiconductor Strategy Deployment within the Business.ü Schedule quarterly interlock meetings with Business Procurement teams.ü Actively participate in early project phases with R&D to support Business Procurement and drive synergies to deploy Semiconductor strategy.ü Collaborate with Business Procurement on the joint selection of key semiconductor technology awards and ensure the implementation of best practices, such as cost matrixes and Long-Term Supply Agreements (LTSA).ü Promote and implement innovation during early project phases.Supplier Relationship managementü Directly manage up to two semiconductor suppliers and participate in global negotiations with these suppliers.ü Provide support to regional purchasers by equipping them with tools, arguments, and guidance for negotiations.ü Plan and execute business reviews with suppliers for QBR, EBR, CEO-CEO, Supplier Day.ü Deploy supplier framework agreements (MSA) and promote their adoption within New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.ü Lead the qualification process for new suppliers linked to the category.China Sourcing Strategy and Implementationü Develop and deploy the China sourcing strategy for Power ICs to enhance supply chain resilience and competitiveness.ü Lead qualification process and Onboard new suppliers/categories through comprehensive end-to-end assessments and audits.ü Drive the "China suppliers for China market" and "China suppliers for global market" strategies.Profile:Education: Master’s degree in supply chain, Management, or Engineering. Experience :ü A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.ü Background in purchasing with expertise in electronics, Power ICs preferred.ü Proven experience in leading functional teams, facilitating networks, and fostering collaboration at a multicultural level. Competencies:ü Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment with diverse stakeholders.ü Strong influencing and persuasion skills to drive decision alignment.ü Proven team player with excellent collaboration skills.ü Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.ü Proficiency in interacting and negotiating with key suppliers and Schneider Electric executives on critical contracts and services.ü Expertise in navigating complex and dynamic negotiation environments.Languages: English proficiency is mandatory.Location: Shanghai, China.Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel, approximately once per quarter.
