This is a graphic-design-first role, ideal for someone who excels in storytelling, visual development, composition, character work, and the ability to translate narratives into strong visual proposals that are built with animation in mind.You’ll help set the artistic tone of our projects by developing style frames, storyboards, characters, visual systems, and scene compositions that become the foundation of our animation pipelines. A solid understanding of animation principles and how assets move is crucial, ensuring everything you design transitions smoothly into production.You will also collaborate closely with the creative team, mentor junior designers, and support the visual direction of projects from concept to final delivery.What You’ll DoTranslate scripts into clear, visually compelling storyboards, style frames, character illustrations, and visual systems designed specifically for motion.Develop art proposals for scenes and sequences, ensuring clarity, mood, pacing, and narrative flow.Create assets that anticipate motion needs, transitions, revealed information, and interactive elements.Visualize complex ideas, structures, diagrams, and interactions in an engaging, readable, and cohesive manner.Review and optimize junior designers’ work, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.Ensure that all artwork is organized, layered, and built for seamless handoff to the animation team.Use foundational UX/UI principles to support interactive video experiences (navigation clarity, hierarchy, user flow).Collaborate closely with art directors, motion designers, and writers to maintain consistency across the full production pipeline.What We’re Looking For5+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within motion-centric workflows or visual storytelling environments.Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong fundamentals in composition, hierarchy, concept development, and clarity.Proven experience creating high-quality storyboards, style frames, scenes, character illustrations, and visual systems.Strong foundation in character design - anatomy, proportions, expressions, and consistency across poses and scenes.Solid understanding of animation principles (anticipation, timing, ease, staging).Experience preparing files for smooth animation handoff (clean layering, structure, naming, shape-based builds).Good grasp of UX/UI fundamentals, layout reasoning, and readability for interactive/branching experiences.Ability to mentor junior designers and support their growth.Fluent English is a MUST, and excellent communication skills are required.Windows-based workflow experience (not Mac).Nice to HaveRigging knowledge (basic or intermediate).Experience with data visualization or simplifying complex diagrams.Experience creating interactive projects or multimedia experiences;Experience in healthcare or pharma-related visual communication.Availability to work on the US schedule (12 pm – 8:30 pm CET).Ready to bring science to life through design and interactivity?Join BlueNovius as a full-time, remote creative professional.Lead high-impact projects with top global pharma brands and be part of a collaborative, curious team that values clarity, creativity, and continuous learning.Apply now!Learn more at www.bluenovius.com
