Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, highly competent Senior Accountant capable of building and managing the full accounting and finance function of the company in Saudi Arabia.This position is not limited to routine bookkeeping. It requires full ownership of accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, treasury management, and support for project finance activities. The right candidate will be responsible for establishing the accounting system, policies, processes, and controls from the ground up.This is an ideal role for someone who wants autonomy, leadership, and long-term growth inside a fast-scaling multinational developer.Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & System OwnershipSet up and maintain the full chart of accounts and internal accounting system (ERP selection & rollout if required)Manage the full accounting cycle: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, payroll, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactionsImplement internal controls, cost centers, project-based accounting, and approval workflowsEnsure proper archiving, digital documentation, and audit-ready records Financial Reporting & Monthly ClosingLead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processIssue financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow, and project cost reportsPrepare management dashboards for Saudi leadership + group reporting package for HQ in Spain (IFRS)Maintain cash-flow forecasts and liquidity planning Tax, Compliance & AuditManage filings and compliance for: VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat, GOSI, payroll taxes, and corporate income taxCoordinate with external auditors (Saudi Arabia + Spain) and tax advisorsEnsure full compliance with ZATCA, Saudi GAAP, and IFRS Payroll, Banking & TreasuryExecute monthly WPS payroll and expense reimbursementsManage online banking, LCs, LGs, supplier payments, and collectionsMaintain treasury worksheet, cash-burn rate, and payment schedules Project & Corporate Finance SupportSupport feasibility models, cost allocation, and budget tracking for real estate and PPP projectsTrack subcontractor/supplier accounts, retention, certifications, advances, etc.Assist with financial due-diligence for JV partners, investors, and lenders Strategic & Growth-Support FunctionsPrepare financial policies & procedures to support company scalingRecommend automation, ERP upgrades, and process improvementsPotential to grow into Finance Manager / Regional Controller / CFO as the entity expandsRequired QualificationsRequirementDetailsEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / CMA as an advantage)ExperienceMinimum 6+ years of full accounting experience, ideally in construction, real estate development, or a multinational groupTechnical SkillsERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Zoho, etc.), advanced Excel, IFRS reportingRegulatory KnowledgeStrong knowledge of Saudi tax laws, VAT, WHT, Zakat, payroll compliance, IFRSLanguageEnglish and Arabic requiredNationalitySaudi nationals or expats with a transferable IqamaSoft Skills & CompetenciesSelf-starter able to build systems from scratchHigh integrity and confidentiality in financial handlingStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetAble to work independently and report to the executive levelComfortable in dynamic, entrepreneurial, fast-growing environmentsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageFull ownership of the finance function from day oneReal opportunity to grow into Finance Manager / Controller / CFOExposure to international HQ and high-profile Saudi projectsA leadership seat in a growing multinational developer
