The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing UK payroll, VAT returns, year-end statutory filings, and bookkeeping. This role requires accuracy, accountability, and a deep understanding of UK compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and file year-end statutory accounts and corporation tax submissions.Manage UK payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.Handle VAT returns, reconciliations, and compliance with UK tax regulations.Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledgers, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.Perform month-end and quarter-end closings and reconciliations.Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.Ensure all financial records are accurate, up to date, and comply with UK accounting standards.Collaborate with external auditors and assist with audit preparation.Required Skills & Experience:1.5 to 3+ years of hands-on experience in UK accounting and taxation.Solid understanding of UK payroll, VAT, and year-end statutory accounts.Proficient in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.Experience with Iris and TaxCalc software is highly desirable.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.Preferred Qualifications:ACCA, ACA, or similar accounting qualification (part or fully qualified).Prior experience in a UK-based accounting firm or working with UK clients.What We Offer:Competitive salary package.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Opportunity to work with a reputable UK accounting firm and advance your professional expertise.
