Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting operational leadership and external stakeholders across the Group’s Australian and New Zealand operations.This is a dynamic opportunity for a proactive professional to contribute to financial excellence, drive process improvements, and help shape the future of our finance operations.Key Accountabilities:Lead the consolidation of financial results across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring timely month-end and year-end close processes, accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and compliance with statutory, regulatory and taxation requirements.Co-ordinates internal and external audits with clear and well-documented evidence ensuring strong financial controls are in place.Manage corporate treasury operations including cash flow management, forecasting and the annual budget process.Champion enhancements to financial systems, controls, and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and process efficiency.Oversee commercial finance activities, monitor customer and supplier contract obligations, and provide strategic financial guidance to operational leaders.Collaborate with operational teams to improve performance, contribute to finance projects, and support broader strategic initiatives.Supervise and mentor a small number of junior accountants and finance officersPerform additional finance-related tasks as required.To succeed in this role, you will have:Bachelor’s degree or similar in Accounting or Commerce.CA or CPA qualification.5+ years’ experience in a professional services or similar commercial role with strong technical accounting knowledge, including tax and regulatory compliance. Listed company experience an advantage.Expertise in month-end and year-end financial processes and audits.Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A proactive, ambitious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.Experience with supervising and mentoring junior finance team members.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.What We Offer:A dynamic and growing ASX-listed business with a national and international footprint.Opportunities for career progression and professional development.A supportive and collaborative team environment.Exposure to diverse industries and commercial activities.Flexible working arrangements and a focus on work-life balance.Applications are welcome from candidates that want to be a part of an organisation that values safety awareness and appropriate workplace behaviours.
