With a focus on underserved markets, Breakaway is bringing a premium 2-day EDM/Pop festival experience with an always-changing lineup of top artists to where consumers live, work, and play.THE ROLEBreakaway is in search of a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team and support the company's rapid expansion. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while helping to build and streamline processes that support all Breakaway Group Inc.The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and tax-readiness processes. This individual will collaborate closely with the Controller and other departments to provide financial insights, manage transactions, and deliver timely reports that guide decision-making.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. They bring strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a team-first mindset, with the ability to balance both day-to-day execution and big-picture growth.RequirementsRESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the Accounts Receivable cycle, including invoicing, customer aging analysis, and cash applicationPrepare and review monthly journal entries to support accurate and timely reportingLead general ledger reconciliations and financial analysis across entity and project-level balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, contributing to high-quality reporting for internal and external reporting packagesOversee bank reconciliations and with detailed reviews of account balancesPartner with leadership on budgeting and forecasting, developing supporting materials and improving visibility into financial performanceEnhance internal controls and compliance processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and operational efficiencyDirectly assist the Controller, providing high-level administrative and analytical supportQUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of accounting experience preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationExperience with accounting enterprise systems and expense management softwareStrong foundation in journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger managementDetail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilitiesPreferred:Familiarity with Sage Intacct and RampExperience working in live events, entertainment, or festival finance is a plusBenefitsFlexible work environment (Monday & Friday - WFH, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - In Office)Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401K plan with employer matchingPaid Vacation PlansSelect festival attendanceGrowth opportunities
