The De Bortoli Wine Company, with nearly a century of operation under its belt, has built its success on hard work, a commitment to family values, and a dedication to innovation across its product and business portfolio. Based in the Company's Head Office in the Riverina Region of NSW, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's accounting operations and reporting.As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the full suite of financial accounting and reporting functions for the business operations. You will ensure financial integrity across all ledgers, oversee local compliance obligations, and support the continued development of a high-performing finance team.Key Responsibilities Overseeing day-to-day transactional accounting to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards. Producing accurate and timely weekly, monthly and year-end financial reports.Leading and mentoring a small team of accounting professionals.Maintaining up-to-date, accurate financial records in line with company and statutory requirements.Preparing statutory and compliance reports, including BAS, FBT and payroll tax submissions.Ensuring adherence to accounting standards, taxation obligations and internal policies. Partnering with cross-functional teams to support business improvement initiatives and provide financial insights to management.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will be an experienced accounting professional with a balance of technical capability, leadership skill, and attention to detail.You will bring:Tertiary qualification's in accounting and completion of CPA and CA accreditation.A minimum of five years experience in financial accounting. Demonstrated leadership ability, ideally managing small teams or transactional functions.Strong, analytical, problem-solving and system skills (EPR exposure highly regarded). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across regions and disciplines.A hands-on, proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement. The BenefitsCompetitive remuneration and benefits package (including remote area housing benefits). Relocation Assistance package on offer.Company-Funded Salary Continuance Insurance Program (Limitations Apply).Regional living with metro conveniences.Why Join Us? This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of Australia's most respected wine brands.
