Senior Accountant (Expatriation to South Sudan)

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a Senior Accountant – JubaPurpose of the Role:Provide management with accurate and timely financial data to assist in managing resources, ensuring that financial records are maintained in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company policies.Key Objectives:Strategic budgeting and revenue/expenditure projectionsCost containment and purchasing managementCash flow management and debt servicingProactive tax planningAccurate record keeping and financial reportingInternal control and risk management planningKey Responsibilities:Coordinate cost and budget accounting functionsPrepare project cost analyses, revenue projections, and expenditure forecastsManage tax compliance according to regulations and company proceduresMaintain expense accounts, cost accounting systems, and ledgersSupport month-end and year-end closing, including auditsReconcile bank and general ledger accountsPost transactions on ERP accounting softwarePrepare financial reports and assist with internal controlsSupervise and support junior accounting staffPerform other delegated accounting duties as requiredQualifications & Experience:Essential: First Degree in Accounting & Finance or CPA with 10 years’ experience (5 years in senior management), or Postgraduate in Accounting/Finance with 5 years’ industry experienceDesirable: Administrative experienceLanguages:Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is encouragedKnowledge of other international languages is a plusSkills & Attributes:Initiative, motivation, and self-supervisionStrong team-building and interpersonal skillsComputer literate with excellent MS Office skills; knowledge of ERP/SAP is a plusAbility to apply IFRS and financial management techniquesAdaptable, culturally aware, and able to work under pressureWork Conditions:Willingness to work with diverse cultural backgroundsAbility to perform additional tasks and work under stress with patienceFlexibility and good interpersonal communicationPerformance Measures:Timely and accurate financial reportingEffective financial risk management and mitigationAdditional InformationPlease note that this position does not include family relocation.
