Senior Accountant Financial Reporting and Tax

Role PurposeTo support Senior Manager in preparation and reporting financial statements Position Information Unit: Finance Division: Finance Control Location: Muscat Grade: P6 Minimum Role Requirements 6 years with Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance/ Certified Professional Qualification Key Accountabilities Support Mansager to Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statement, interpret IFRS and ensure that the accounting entries are in compliance with IFRS Perform Intercompany reconciliation Prepare accounting schedule and resolve discrepancies Analyse financial statement for discrepancies and provide financial analysis and forecasting Post Journal entries in GL Support Manager on queries, reporting and take ad-hoc projects Liaise with internal, external and state auditors to ensure smooth audit Ensure that all VAT reporting and deliverables are accurate and submitted on a timely basis Prepare schedule for income tax filing and provide information to tax department as and when required Liaise with internal, external auditors and tax department for compliance processes
