Role DescriptionWe’re looking for a hands-on Full-Cycle Accountant with strong manufacturing cost accounting experience to handle daily transactions, own the monthly close, manage inventory and COGS accuracy, and drive clean, timely financials. You’ll partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to ensure our numbers reflect reality on the shop floor and across our global supply chain.What you’ll doClose & Core AccountingOwn full-cycle accounting: GL, journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and consolidations.Lead the monthly/quarterly close; deliver accurate financial statements on deadline.Maintain chart of accounts, internal controls, and accounting policies (US GAAP; IFRS exposure a plus).Cost & Inventory (Manufacturing)Maintain and analyze standard costs, BOMs, routings, and overhead rates; recommend updates quarterly.Reconcile inventory (raw/WIP/FG) and WIP balances; track scrap, rework, and variances.Calculate, analyze, and explain PPV, usage/labor/overhead variances, absorption, and yield.Manage landed cost calculations for imports (freight, duty, VAT) and tie-out to COGS.Run cycle counts/annual counts with operations; drive shrink reduction.AP/AR & CashOversee AP (three-way match, terms, early-pay discounts) and AR (invoicing, collections, cash app).Manage vendor payments and customer receipts; prepare weekly cash forecasts.Support trade finance flows (e.g., supplier deposits) and reconcile to PO.Compliance, Tax & AuditEnsure VAT compliance (UAE) and coordinate filings.Support external accountants/auditors.Reporting & ToolsBuild KPI/management packs: gross margin by product/customer, inventory turns.Improve ERP/accounting workflows and help implement improved workflows.Advance spreadsheet models and dashboards.What you’ll bring5+ years accounting experience with at least 3 years in manufacturing accounting.Strong grasp of standard costing, BOMs, WIP, variance analysis, and landed cost.Solid ERP experience (Odoo/NetSuite/SAP or QuickBooks Online + inventory add-ons); advanced Excel.Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.Detail-driven, organized, and comfortable collaborating with operations and supply chain.Bonus: Experience with multi-entity/multi-currency, import/export, and UAE VAT; Chinese language a plus.
