Job Description

Our client, a growing FMCG company is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team in Dubai.The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and timely reporting up to finalization. The role involves overseeing daily accounting functions, month-end and year-end closing activities, and supporting management in strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the FMCG industry, with an in-depth understanding of cost management, inventory accounting, and financial controls.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & ReportingManage the full spectrum of accounting activities up to finalization of accounts.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Handle month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, adjustments, and provisions.Ensure accuracy and completeness of all general ledger accounts.FMCG-Specific FunctionsMonitor and reconcile inventory movements, costing, and variances in coordination with supply chain and warehouse teams.Support cost accounting, product pricing analysis, and margin reporting.Ensure compliance with internal controls for FMCG operations, including stock counts and expense allocations.Compliance & AuditAssist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax filings.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and local regulations.Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external auditors.Financial Analysis & SupportSupport the Finance Manager and CFO with management reports, variance analysis, and performance tracking.Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.Recommend process improvements for better accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA / CFA / CA preferred).Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the FMCG industry.Proven experience in accounts finalization, inventory accounting, and cost analysis.Candidates meeting the above criteria are requested to apply at the earliest.
