Job Description

Financial Reporting and OversightFinancial Statement Preparation and Review: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (KGJAPL) and relevant regulations. This includes the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement, for both the Albanian operations and, where applicable, other group entities abroad following their respective accounting standards.Financial Reporting Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial reporting deadlines and requirements set by regulatory bodies and internal reporting schedules, as well as compliance with reporting requirements for other group entities abroad.Internal Controls Framework: Implement and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data across all Albanian operations and, where applicable, other group entities abroad. This includes:Establishing and documenting comprehensive internal control procedures considering the specific needs of both Albanian operations and international group entities.Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with Albanian auditing standards and potentially additional international auditing standards applicable to other group entities.Reporting internal control deficiencies and recommending corrective actions as per regulations and best practices for international financial control.External Audit Liaison: Manage the relationship with external auditors, facilitating the audit process for both Albanian operations and other group entities abroad, ensuring timely responses to audit inquiries.Financial Planning and AnalysisFinancial Planning and Budgeting:Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, including annual budgets for Albanian operations and budgets in relevant currencies for other group entities abroad.Create consolidated financial models incorporating economic data and financial assumptions alongside data from other group entities to project future revenue, expenses, and cash flows under various scenarios for the entire group.Analyse financial data across all operations, identifying trends, assessing risks and opportunities specific to both the Albanian market and the international landscape, and supporting informed financial decision-making for the entire group.Performance Management and Reporting:Establish key financial metrics (KPIs) for measuring financial performance and progress towards strategic goals across both Albanian operations and other group entities abroad.Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts for all entities, identifying variances and taking corrective actions as needed on a consolidated and entity-specific basis.Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, providing insights and recommendations regarding the overall financial performance of the group, including both Albanian operations and international entities.Cost Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs and improve operational efficiency across all operations, considering both Albanian and group entities. This may involve:Identifying cost-saving opportunities through process improvement and vendor negotiations with Albanian and international suppliers.Establishing cost control measures and monitoring adherence to budgets for all entities.Risk ManagementFinancial Risk Identification: Proactively identify and assess potential financial risks that could impact the company's performance, such as currency exchange rate fluctuations, economic instability in various regions, and credit risks associated with global operations.Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies considering both Albanian and international risks. This might involve:Utilizing hedging strategies to manage foreign currency exposure across the entire group.Diversifying investments and funding sources to reduce dependence on any single source for the entire group.Contingency plans to address potential financial disruptions specific to the Albanian market and other international markets where the group operates.Risk Management Framework: Establish a comprehensive risk management framework that incorporates risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring processes in accordance with Albanian regulations and best practices for international risk management. This framework should consider the specific risks faced by both Albanian operations and international group entities.Capital ManagementCapital Budgeting: Evaluate potential capital expenditures (Capex) projects across all operations, considering their expected return on investment (ROI) and alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives, both for Albanian operations and the international group.Utilize financial modelling techniques to assess project feasibility and profitability considering Albanian market conditions and international economic factors.Cash Flow Management: Develop and implement strategies to maintain sufficient cash flow to meet operational needs, debt obligations, and potential emergencies across all operations. This includes:Monitoring and forecasting cash inflows and outflows for both Albanian operations and international group entities to optimize working capital utilization across the entire group.Debt Management: Develop and implement a debt management strategy that minimizes financing costs and optimizes the company's capital structure on a consolidated basis.
