Together, we make Every Moment Matter.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accountancy team in Brussels, Belgium.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial and accounting operations in line with Belgian GAAP and local tax regulations.This role combines hands-on accounting with analytical and audit-related tasks and reports directly to the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting, based in the Brussels and Madrid offices.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and perform general accounting operations in compliance with Belgian GAAP.Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and internal reporting standards.Support and coordinate internal and external audits, providing documentation and analytical insights.Support with VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings under Belgian tax law.Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and intercompany transactions.Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting and the Finance teams in Brussels and Madrid.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and reporting accuracy.Contribute to process improvements, automation, and system optimization within the finance function.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.4+ years of relevant experience in accounting and auditing, preferably within an international or Belgian-based organization.Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and Belgian tax regulations (VAT, CIT, payroll-related taxes).Nice to have proven experience using SAP S/4HANA (required).Advanced to expert-level Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial data analysis.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.High attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach.LanguagesEnglish: Fluent (required)Dutch: Fluent (required)French: Considered a strong assetReporting LineReports to the Senior Manager Corporate Accounting, based in Brussels and Madrid.SkillsFinanceAccounting
