Senior Accountant Team Leader

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Team LeaderLocation: Marousi, Attica, GreeceCompany: GMT Normaxis www.gmt-normaxis.com.GMT Normaxis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant – Team Leader to join our accounting team. This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of Accounting and will oversee a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Based in our Marousi office, you will play a key role in driving process efficiency and supporting strategic financial decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of accountants (junior to senior-level), providing guidance, support, and performance evaluationsSupervise and review day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger maintenanceEnsure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsOversee VAT, tax submissions, and other statutory obligationsCoordinate and contribute to the preparation of Financial Statements in compliance with local GAAP and/or IFRSMonitor and maintain ERP accounting systems and related digital tools (including MyData compliance)Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with senior managementReview payroll, supplier payments, and cash flow managementLiaise with auditors, tax authorities, and external consultants as requiredDrive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controlsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory rolesSolid understanding of Greek accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworksStrong ERP system knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated ability to manage teams and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsFluent in Greek and EnglishWhat We OfferCompetitive salary, tailored to the candidate’s experience and qualificationsOpportunities for professional growth and career advancementCollaborative, inclusive team cultureEngagement in diverse, international projects within a growing consulting firmInterested?If you're ready to lead, mentor, and make an impact in a dynamic and supportive work environment, we’d love to hear from you.
