Job Description

TriStarr is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant & Billing Lead to join our client’s team. A well-established professional services firm in the legal field located in Lancaster, PA. This individual is responsible for the management and reporting of an organization’s financial data. You will collaborate with the Director of Finance and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and the timely processing of the accounting and revenue cycle. The Senior Accountant & Billing Lead plays a vital role in driving the company’s financial success and growth.Essential FunctionsReview accounting for IOLTA trust accounts and advanced client costs.Review all client expenses posted in Clio and QuickBooks, along with verifying all supporting documentation for invoicing.Perform general accounting duties, including bank and account reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, and managing incoming and outgoing wire requests.Implement efficient systems and tools to enhance accuracy, productivity, and data integrity.Research and respond to billing inquiries regarding billing questions and issues.Perform account and general ledger reconciliations.Provide insight into monthly billing performance and serve as a point of contact for billing questions.Respond to and resolve billing inquiries from attorneys and the management team.Communicate situations as they arise that may require follow-up, such as delays in billing or rate issues.Identify and provide training opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.Perform all other duties as assigned.Knowledge and SkillsConscientious, professional, and highly motivated.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a positive and timely manner while producing high-quality work.Previous experience in law firms or other service industries preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office and accounting/billing software.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.At least 3–5 years of related experience required.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities over individuals.This position does have supervisory responsibility over the processes and procedures established by the Finance Committee.Travel RequiredOccasional travel to business locations.DetailsLength of Assignment: Direct HireStart Date: ASAP (pending interviews)Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000 (depending on experience)Hours: Mon.–Fri., 8am–5pm, with 1-hour lunch (approx. 40–50 hours/week)Dress Code: Business ProfessionalLocation: Lancaster, PA (onsite)
