Job Description

The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations for the Netherlands and Romania entities. The role is part of the Global Accounting Team, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and alignment with group accounting policies and processes.Key Responsibilities:Invoice Processing:Daily preparation, processing, and recording of incoming invoices and credit notes for NL and RO entities in group’s ERP : Camis / Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.Verify invoice accuracy, GL posting, and approval workflows.Match invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts, resolving discrepancies promptly.Manage non-PO invoices, ensuring approvals comply with internal controls.Payments & ReconciliationsPrepare and execute supplier payments according to due dates and payment terms.Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding balances.Support month-end closing by ensuring accurate posting of invoices and accruals.Monitor open items and ensure timely clearing in the accounting system.Expense note handlingOversee and follow up expense notes with regard to personnel to ensure that policies in place are met and the best possible service can be offered to internal customers (= employees).Compliance & ControlsEnsure compliance with Dutch and Romanian accounting regulations.Adhere to internal financial policies, controls, and compliance frameworks.Provide audit support, including documentation and reconciliations.Maintain and update vendor master data according to governance standards.Collaboration & Continuous ImprovementAct as the point of contact for suppliers regarding any questions related to invoice handling.Collaborate with Procurement, Controlling, and local Finance teams to resolve queries.Contribute to process improvement, automation, and harmonization initiatives across the Global Accounting Team.Support global standardization efforts and best practice sharing.Assist in projects for the development of new systems and processes and formulate proposals to ensure that the AP processes and existing tools/procedures are optimized.Requirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role, within a multinational environment.Experience supporting Dutch and/or Romanian legal entities is preferred.Proven ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional environment.Technical Skills:Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.Solid understanding of VAT and local accounting regulations for NL and RO.Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.Languages:Fluent in English (written and spoken).Knowledge of Dutch is a strong advantage.Soft Skills:High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, global environment.Offer:22 annual vacation days, 3 sick days that are not carried to the next year (no medical certificate required)A seniority day is added every 3 years in the companyFloating days - free day for every public holiday that falls on the weekend, with the exception of holidays which always fall during the weekendA performance-based annual bonus prorated according to the number of worked months in a yearPrivate medical insuranceAccess to an online benefit platform, with a monthly allowance of 690 RON, which you can choose to invest in different wellbeing, financial, or retail packagesFinancial support for the birth of your child or unhappy eventsA work culture based on cooperation and development - customized learning paths through external providers as well as special development programs.We offer remote work flexibility, driven by smart working principles and aligned with team goals and valuesWellbeing initiatives to encourage a healthy work life balance through webinars, specialized sessions and internal programs, per our colleagues’ inputMoments that matter, like recurring hangout parties, team buildings, team bonding events.
