And as one, we deliver.Right now, we’re looking for a new colleague to join our Commercial team in the position of Business Development AdvisorRole DescriptionThe role of Advisor – Business Development is to drive the strategic engagement between assigned customers and APLL. Driving the growth/expansion of relevant APLL solutions, in partnership with your key customer. This position will apply business strategies with a longer-term focus aligned to the organization’s vision. This role is mainly involved in the performance of external activities, including but not limited to conducting sales outside of the office and visits to APLL's clients and potential clients.Roles & Responsibilities:1. Business Development• Monitor and evaluate sales and market data for a specific geographic region, producing reports that assist management in formulating strategy and identifying market opportunities.• Develop and execute business development plans to identify, evaluate, and structure key transactions, ensuring maximum value throughout the product life cycle.• Attend external visits to clients and prospects and conduct business development activities outside of the APLL office.• Engage in external sales efforts to foster new business opportunities.2. Customer Development and Relationship Management• Develop and implement a relationship management plan for potential customer accounts to build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations, ensuring effective two-way communication and issue resolution.• Set clear objectives for calls and meetings, tailoring presentations to suit the needs of decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.• Implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches, and act as the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, resolving issues or escalating them as necessary.3. Cross-Functional and Stakeholder Engagement• Collaborate with product owners to obtain and provide advice, insights, and recommendations on how to better deliver solutions that meet customer needs.• Support and strengthen partnerships with key clients to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.• Schedule and attend meetings with clients and prospects to align business objectives and drive success.4. Sales Performance• Take overall responsibility for sales performance, customer relationships, and meeting sales targets.• Drive new business development by identifying and pursuing new customers, promoting APLL’s capabilities and solutions.5. Market Research and Tender Management• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.• Manage tenders and bids to secure new business opportunities and ensure the timely and successful delivery of services.6. Contract Review and Negotiation• Identify potential risks in customer contracts and negotiate favorable terms while ensuring compliance with company policies.7. Track & Trace• Track and monitor the progress of sales activities and projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.8. Stakeholder Management and Reporting• Collaborate with key stakeholders to align business objectives and drive mutual success.• Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to management.What we are looking for: QualificationMinimum of a Bachelors, ideally with an MBA or related advanced degree in Economics, Logistics or related fieldExcellent English language skillsRequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience in commercial role with rick knowledge of supply chain logistics and local market practiceIn-depth knowledge of both international and domestic logisticsEstablished a strong network of customers and business relationships within the industry.Relevant work experience in a supply chain division of an MNC or 3PLAbility to work in complex situations and under pressure.Demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, fostering strong relationships.Documented success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth, with specific metrics or accomplishments highlighted.Key Result AreasMeet budget goals, including overall Revenue and CM targets for specific servicesAccounts generating at least minimum corporate CMMeet regional AR targetFull compliance in sales system input
