Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a leading telecom IT company to hire for a senior AI researcher (Large Language Models) in their R&D Centre.This is initially a 12 months contract with annual review of extension.As a Senior AI researcher (LLM), your knowledge and experience in building compact multi-modal LLMs for general question-answering, reasoning and planning will be applied to the areas of network self-healing, i.e., fault localisation and troubleshooting, root cause analysis, fault remediation planning.Responsibilities:Identify the state-of-art of AI technologies (both in industry and in academic literature) for solving problems in the domain of Autonomous Telecommunication Networks. Emphasis is given on technologies of Large Language Models for general question answering and reasoning / planning for use cases of network self-healing.Contribute to rapid and iterative development of validated software prototypes based on AI technologies, and benchmark alternative solutions.Work closely with Domain Experts, Data Engineers, and AI researchers. Collaborate with product development teams and partners in Businesses to productionise AI technologies, including providing source code and design documents.Conduct technical insights, contribute to strategic planning to maintain technological leadership, and propose innovative solutions and ideas for Autonomous Telecommunication Networks.RequirementsPhD in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning and/or Natural Language Processing.2+ years of industrial or post-doctoral research experience in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.Strong hands-on experience with language model technology, especially with Large Language Models.Strong hands-on experience with building deep neural networks.Good mathematics and statistics background.Strong programming skills in Python.Practical skills in the use of machine learning frameworks, i.e., Scikit-Learn, Pytorch.Publication track records in machine learning and computer science conferences and journals, including, but not limited to, ICML, ECML, NIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, IJCNN is a great plus.If this sounds like you, apply today with a copy of your CV!
